We hadden een probleem met waar de monorail vertrekt, omdat dit niet duidelijk op het ticket staat en er geen instructies zijn. Is dit iets wat we gemist hebben? Omdat het onze eerste keer was, waren we naar de pointe bij de palm gegaan en we gingen ervan uit dat we de monorail van dit station naar Atlantis en terug konden nemen. Dit was niet het geval aangezien dit station gesloten was. Bij navraag bij lokale werknemers vroegen ze ons om via nakheel mall te gaan. Toen we daar met de taxi aankwamen, zei het monrail ticketbureau nee dit ticket geeft recht op een retourtje van het gateway station naar de Atlantis en terug IE. Helaas was dit ons niet bekend.

The Palm Jumeirah is fit for all, those with cars and those without. Thanks to the Palm Monorail - the first monorail to be constructed in the Middle East, you can go from The Palm (starting at the Gateway station) to Atlantis Aquaventure, all while enjoying spectacular, unobstructed views of the sea and the island. The monorail, in fact, is a fully-elevated, double-tracked system with about 1,000 meters of track running over the sea. Apart from being a convenient mode of transport from the entrance of Palm Jumeirah to Atlantis Aquaventure, it is also simply a fun ride. No wonder it’s so popular - around a million people use the monorail every year!
