I really enjoyed visiting the Dubai Underwater Zoo and Penguin Cove. The place is well set up and has so many cool animals to see, like sharks, rays, crocodiles, and lots of colorful fish. Walking through the glass tunnel was awesome and made the experience feel extra exciting. Penguin Cove was my favorite part. The penguins were super cute and fun to watch, especially when they were swimming around and playing. The area looked clean and well cared for, and the staff shared some interesting facts too. Overall, it’s a fun place to visit and definitely worth checking out if you’re in Dubai, especially if you like animals or are visiting with family. The best part is my daughter enjoyed it, and that's what matters.

Due to the visit coinciding with peak tourist season, the attraction was significantly crowded. We opted for the sunrise experience; however, it is worth noting that access is restricted to Levels 124 and 125 during these early hours. Unfortunately, the lack of an outdoor observation deck on these floors impacted the quality of the sunrise view. For those seeking a more immersive experience, the limited accessibility during this time slot is a significant factor to consider.

Review – 4/5 ⭐ Our visit to Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo with the Ultimate Experience Gold Pass was overall a very enjoyable family experience, especially for my children. The aquarium itself is impressive, well-maintained, and full of fascinating marine life. Walking through the tunnel and seeing sharks and rays up close was a real highlight for all of us, and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. However, despite the many positives, we did experience a major disappointment. One of the key reasons we chose the Ultimate Experience Gold Pass was the opportunity to meet and take photos with the penguins. Unfortunately, this experience did not happen as expected. This was quite upsetting for me, my wife, and especially our children, who were genuinely excited and had been looking forward to this part of the visit the most. The disappointment was significant because the ticket explicitly suggested that this experience was included. Overall, it is a great attraction and worth visiting, particularly for families, but clearer communication and better management of expectations regarding premium experiences would make it truly outstanding.

The experience began inside the Dubai Mall, where a very well-organized entrance area guided us through interactive displays about the tower´s construction and records. The atmosphere already felt special, with subtle lighting and modern design creating anticipation. After a quick security and ticket control, a short queue led us to the high-speed elevator. During the ascent, the elevator´s multimedia ceiling and softly changing lights enhanced the sensation of rapid vertical movement - reaching the observatory deck in less than 60 seconds. When the doors opened, we stepped into a bright panoramic space with floor-to-ceiling glass. At first, the view feels surreal: the city appears miniature, with highways, skyscrapers, and the desert stretching to the horizon. The highlight comes when stepping close to the glass - or onto the outdoor terrace: Looking straight down from over 400 meters creates a thrilling mix of awe and perspective. In that instant, the scale of Dubai - and the extraordinary height of the Burj Khalifa - truly sinks in, turning the visit into a memorable emotional peak rather than just a sightseeing stop. A moment that I will never forget.

The head out experience was top notch. Payment went through smoothly and tickets were received almost instantly. The experience at the aquarium was very underwhelming. It was very crowded, other visitors unaccomodating towards our baby pram, people stopping in the middle of the walkway to make videos, nobody available for crowd control. Overall, the Dubai Aquarium seemed like a waste of money and energy.

This is a great experience if you are into nature and wildlife. This plus green planet are a must for nature lovers. Tickets are bit pricey but go for premium/ultimate experience ticket as it comes with 20 Dhs restaurant voucher. Also comes with20 Dhs shopping voucher (min spend for shopping needs to be 40 to avail the voucher)

The average time spent at the Aquarium tunnel (Level 0) is 15 - 30 min. The Underwater Zoo (Level 2) takes about 45 min - 1.5 hrs. The Glass Bottom Boat ride lasts approximately 15 to 20 min.

Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult above 15 years at all times.
