Getting started
Begin your journey at the heart of Pisa by making your way to Piazza del Duomo, 56126 Pisa PI, Italy, the square that houses the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the magnificent Pisa Cathedral. Arrive a few minutes before your scheduled entry time and display your ticket at the entrance near the Porta Santa Maria, the main gateway to the square.

Leaning Tower of Pisa: As you step inside this 12th-century Romanesque marvel, you’ll begin your ascent up the 273 spiraling stone steps. With each step, the tilt of the tower becomes more noticeable, creating a surreal sense of balance and perspective. At the top, you’re rewarded with breathtaking views, from the rooftops of terracotta homes to the lush, surrounding Tuscan countryside.

The climb involves 273 steep steps with no elevators, making it inaccessible to wheelchair users and guests with cardiovascular issues.
