Fun experience! My daughter and I both are very scared of heights, but we were able to power through and get a great picture in the glass picture area. The area where you step out in it has a glass bottom top and sides. The staff was very nice. I didn't realize it, but as soon as I stepped out in the glass, I grabbed his arm for stability. He did not seem alarmed at all. I asked him if it was OK if I held onto him and he just chuckled and said of course. I wish I could remember his name. He was very kind. It was a fun experience.

We got there early, made second in the line, service was expediated and soon we were up to enjoying the views. The whole experience was very interactive and we had a great time taking pictures. I'll bring my son on my next NYC trip!

NYC Downtown Sightseeing Cruise

Getting started

Head to Pier 78 at Hudson River Park, a 15-minute drive or quick subway ride from SUMMIT. Arrive early to accommodate the check-in process and and find a good seat.

What to expect

Cruise down the Hudson and East Rivers, with postcard-perfect views of NYC’s skyline and landmarks.

Features:

What to bring

SUMMIT One Vanderbilt

Make sure to bring your sunglasses. The reflective materials used throughout the space create a bright environment during the day.

Please dress appropriately, due to the unique nature of the space and to avoid unwanted exposure to glass and mirrored floors. Pants, shorts, or tights are recommended as well as flat shoes.

Wear comfortable shoes. Stiletto heels, steel-toe boots, sports cleats, and other footwear that can damage flooring are not permitted.

Bring a light jacket as it can get cooler when you're on the cruise.

What’s not allowed

SUMMIT One Vanderbilt

There is no provision for the storage of personal items. Large bags, backpacks, and luggage are not permitted. All bags and containers are subject to a security check.

Guests are welcome to take photos with personal, handheld devices only. Professional photography equipment cannot be carried inside.
