From the African savanna to the rainforests of South America, Schönbrunn Zoo boasts a huge variety of animals. See death’s head monkeys and red ruffed lemurs in the historic monkey house, and watch seals and penguins in the Polarium. Don’t miss the chance to visit the zoo at feeding time, especially the sea lion enclosure.
Schönbrunn Palace Panorama Train Ride
Continue your adventure with a scenic 45-minute train ride through Schönbrunn Gardens. As the train winds through the park, you'll get a great view of the Gloriette, a hilltop structure from where you can look out into Vienna. The train will also pass the Hippopotamus House, where you can see them basking in the water. It's a great way to explore the park with kids and let everyone enjoy the scenery. The ride comes with a multilingual audio guide and provides insightful details about the history of the gardens and zoo. The train makes nine stops throughout its loop, so you can hop off at any point to explore an exhibit or landmark further and then catch the next train to continue your journey.
