Went with my dad on a random Thursday. The palace is ENORMOUS, like you think you’ve seen a big hallway but then boom—another one, even fancier. I kept losing track of how many painted ceilings I’d seen. Bit of advice: bring water. I didn’t and was regreting it by room #7. Staff were chill, but didn’t speak much English, so we just sort of nodded at each other. The fountains outside are worth the walk (yes, it’s a trek, but it’s pretty and there’s shade sometimes). My dad loved the old statues, I was obsessed with the floor tiles. Didn’t get to see everything because my feet gave up. Def wanna come back for the gardens alone.

Honestly, this place is wild. It’s like a movie set but real life. We went as a couple and got there around noon, which was…bad idea, sooooo many tour groups blocking the hallways. The rooms are all super decorative, but after a while my boyfriend was like, 'Is this the same room again?' It gets a bit repetitive. Highlight for me was the view from the windows—EPIC gardens. Didn’t love the wait to get in, took about 40 mins. Worth it tho. BRING snacks, nothing nearby.

Went solo. The history is cool (I googled a lot while walking). But it’s super stuffy inside, not joking, I felt like I needed a fan in every room. The staff didn’t seem to care much about people taking pictures, but you can’t use flash. The gardens were closed early, didn’t know that—wish I’d checked the times.

Took my kids (7 & 10) and they were actually impressed! The scale is just...HUGE. We played a game counting the lions in the decor. There’s a little bit of info in English but not tons, so I’d recommend downloading a guide app if you don’t speak Italian. The fountains outside were the best part for us, water was sparkling and there were ducks. Kids wanted to run everywhere but the staff were pretty chill as long as we kept them quiet. Good family day.

Spend the next couple of hours exploring the Royal Apartments, adorned with luxurious Empire-style furniture and San Leucio silk. Take a walk in the Royal Park

After the tour comes to a close, immerse yourself in the tranquility of the royal garden that sprawls 120 hectares. Stroll through the charming ponds and corners of the English Garden. Then, stop by the Fountain of Diana and Actaeon, which features the goddess on one side and Actaeon in his deer form on the other. Don't miss the majestic waterfall that flows right in between the two marble statues. Catch a glimpse of the Fountain of the Dolphins, featuring a waterjet that emerges from the mouth of a sea monster.

Keep in mind food & beverages, drones, sharp metallic tools or objects ,alcohol, motorized vehicles, including scooters, bicycles, and skates (unless authorized) are not allowed on this experience.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience with the exception of guide dogs.

Shutterbugs, take note: Flash photography is a no-go inside the venue.

Strict dress code: skimpy or indecent clothing is not permitted.

Bulky items like umbrellas, backpacks, rucksacks, and suitcases are not allowed and must be left in the cloakroom.
