I enjoyed the moment. The commentary from the captain was well detailed and informative. The food was excellent. I will surely give a 5 star and go on this Swan river cruise again. I was really surprised how beautiful Tottnesr Island is. The staff on the ferry from Perthto Rottnest and return were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the bus tour in the afternoon. The driver was so knowledgeable and explained a lot about the island. We were surprised to learn that the island has its own desalination plant. Also that they generate their own electricity. We saw quokkas in the village and also out in the brush. The only negative thing was the number of people riding bicycles. Adults and children alike. They had no consideration for people walking. Especially elderly people.

Easy is the word that explains the tour. Easy due to the communication and reminders that you receive. Easy to just jump on the ferry and relax as the next stop is Rottnest Island. Easy to board for the return journey.

What's not allowed

Single pieces of luggage up to 22kg and no larger than 800mm x 500mm x 400mm can be stowed in the vessels’ luggage crates.

Single carry-on items must be no larger than 600mm x 400mm x 300mm.

1 piece of luggage is permitted per person. Additional luggage will incur an excess luggage charge.

Additional information

Guide dogs are allowed onboard. However, as Rottnest Island is an A-Class reserve you should contact the rangers there for further advice on service dog allowance.

All passengers must arrive at the terminal at least 30 minutes prior to departure. If you are travelling with no luggage or freight and have e-tickets or QR codes, please make your way straight to the boarding gate. Final Boarding is 5 minutes prior to departure after which the vessel gangways are removed to ensure that the vessel departs by the stated time.

Bicycles must be collected on the island by an Adult (18+) and must be returned to Pedal and Flipper by closing time on the same day.
