A guided tour of Boboli Gardens is the perfect way to experience the beauty and history of Florence’s most iconic green space. Nestled behind the grand Pitti Palace, these 111 acres of gardens offer a fascinating journey through Renaissance landscaping, history, and art. With a knowledgeable guide leading the way, you’ll uncover the stories behind the garden’s creation, and its role as a Medici family retreat.
The tour includes a visit to the Fountain of Neptune, the Buontalenti Grotto, and over 300 sculptures, including Roman and Renaissance works. You’ll learn about the artistic significance of these pieces and their role in the garden’s design. The guide will also take you through the Viottolone, a grand tree-lined avenue, leading to the Isolotto, a peaceful island surrounded by water and sculptures.
