Outdoor Activities in Waitomo

The tour guide was excellent, she knew all the history, explained the life cycle of the glowworm and sang a beautiful song in Maori with all the lights off as the glow was reflected off the stream below. Magic!

Es war super. Auch dass es eine geführte Tour war, bei der mein Mann mit seinem Rollstuhl teilnehmen und bei Allem dabei sein konnte. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an den Höhlenführer. Wir können diese Tour nur empfehlen.

Wonderful cave, so majestic and it was a bonus to see Wetas up close.. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed our trip very much, thankyou.

An excellent self-guided tour starting with the Lady Knox Geyser experience which involved the seeding of a volcanic cone to cause a small geyser eruption. A beautiful waiata sung by the Maori presenter started the show before the climax of the show. The stroll through the largest and most colourful volcanic area in the Taupo volcanic area was awesome. Signage was excellent, very informative, the tracks and wooden pathways well maintained.

Es war eine fast magische Stimmung, als die vielen Lichter wie Sterne an der Decke hingen! Angenehm war die absolute Stille, es wurde nur geflüstert!
