Visited Lisbon Oceanarium and it’s one of the best indoor activities in the city. Well-organized, clean, and genuinely impressive exhibits. It’s easy to navigate, not overwhelming, and the atmosphere is relaxing. Tickets can be busy depending on the time/day, so booking ahead helps. Overall: worth the price, great experience, and I’d happily go again.

The aquarium completely amazed us with its appearance and content. We saw some fish and animals for the first time in our lives, such as this interesting and beautiful seahorse and colorful sea sponges. Our teenagers were also delighted with the aquarium. We spent a wonderful 2 hours exploring the aquarium + half an hour of an interesting exhibition.

There were plenty of ocean life to see. I loved seeing the school of fish. Looking at the biggest fish was great as I was like wow one of those can feed you for a month. I enjoyed the theater as well showing the power of water. I took a picture of the purple coral to show my purple loving people. A great experience!

Un luogo che sembra respirare con l’oceano. L’Oceanário di Lisbona non è solo una visita, è un’immersione lenta e ipnotica in un mondo blu che cambia ritmo a ogni passo. La vasca centrale è un cuore pulsante: squali, razze e pesci danzano in silenzio come se il tempo avesse deciso di rallentare per guardarli meglio. Gli ambienti sono curati, pensati per stupire senza mai diventare caotici. Ogni ecosistema racconta una storia diversa, con pannelli chiari e un allestimento che invita alla curiosità, anche negli adulti. Perfetto per famiglie, coppie o viaggiatori solitari in cerca di meraviglia. Si esce con la sensazione di aver viaggiato molto più lontano di quanto dica la mappa. Un’esperienza elegante, educativa e profondamente rilassante. Assolutamente imperdibile a Lisbona 🌊🐠

La cura degli animali in generale. La vasca centrale che la sì può osservare da tutte le angolazioni. Fare un attività in famiglia diverso dal solito, anche noi che siamo grandi siamo stati affascinati. Grazie

Avaliação O aquário em si é bem cuidado, mas a experiência no geral foi dececionante. Pelas fotos e pela descrição, esperava uma estrutura muito maior, enquanto na realidade o percurso é bastante limitado e faz-se em pouco tempo. out ti aspeto que me deixou pouco satisfeito foi a presença de muitas atrações e instalações que parecem servir apenas para “encher”, em detrimento de uma maior variedade de tanques ou de animais realmente interessantes. Em alguns pontos, parece mais um percurso expositivo cenográfico do que um verdadeiro aquário. Tendo em conta o preço do bilhete e a fama do local, esperava algo mais completo e envolvente. No geral, não é uma experiência má, mas fica claramente abaixo das expectativas criadas.

What to bring

Bring a valid photo ID to get your tickets validated upon entry.

Bring a camera or a fully-charged smartphone to capture pictures at the zoo.

What’s not allowed

Pets are not allowed at the zoo, including guide dogs.

Photography and videography for commercial purposes is prohibited unless you obtain permission for the same.

Feeding the animals is strictly prohibited.

Climbing the trees and fences is prohibited at all times.

Screaming and provoking the animals is not allowed.

Bicycles, scooters, and roller-skates are not allowed within the premises.

Radios and speaker systems are not allowed within the zoo.

Accessibility

This experience is wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

You can also loan wheelchairs at the zoo. Keep in mind that these must be returned at the end of your visit on the same day.

The cable car ride is not recommended for visitors with reduced mobility, vertigo, heart conditions, and for pregnant women.

Wheelchairs and strollers are not allowed inside the cable cars.

Additional information

Minors under 13 must always be accompanied by an adult.

Children under 12 must always be accompanied by an adult over 18 on the cable car ride.

Visitors with a disability of greater than 60% are eligible for a 30% discount on the admission rates. Make sure to carry all relevant documentation to avail of this.

The zoo will not be responsible for any accident caused due to non-compliance of the safety procedures.

The zoo offers lockers at a fee of €2 per day. The locker's dimensions are 90 x 50 x 70cm (H x W x D).

Re-entries are only valid for the day of your ticket upon presenting your ticket. You don't have to buy a new ticket for it.

What to bring

Wear comfortable shoes as you will be walking through large exhibition areas.

What's not allowed

Pets, including guide dogs, are not permitted inside the Oceanário.

Weapons or sharp objects are strictly prohibited.

Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises.

Alcohol and drugs are not permitted inside the facility.

Accessibility

The Oceanário de Lisboa is wheelchair accessible, with ramps and elevators available throughout the building.

Accessible restrooms are available on site.

Additional information

Your tickets are valid for a single entry at the time and day you choose for your visit.

The time you select is for entry to the premises, and does not limit your time spent exploring the exhibitions.

The Antarctic habitat is temporarily closed for renovation; penguins are expected to return in 2025.

Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled entry or tour time.

Guided tours and educational activities for schools, families, and organized groups must be pre-booked beforehand.
