Visit The Imperial Palace
Take in the serene atmosphere and unique interior design of the former residence of the Japanese Imperial family. Also known as Gosho, it is a majestic landmark in the center of Kyoto. It served as the home for Japan's Imperial family for ten centuries until the family left Kyoto in 1868 when the Japanese capital shifted to Tokyo.
