A wonderful museum. My wife and I were here 56 years ago. The old museum was pretty good, the refurbished museum is a glory. The Minoan artefacts and frescos are a wondrous window on that extraordinary first European civilization.

We had just completed a tour of Knossos so this followup visit to the museum displaying the actual archeological finds was a real treat. I did find I had to put the directions "on repeat" a few times to locate the correct exhibit.

Une belle découverte cette application très pratique et facile. Par contre il faut bien choisir la langue souhaitée pour les audio sur son téléphone au moment de la réservation, car nous n'avions pas compris que la visite existait en français. Donc nous l'avons validé en anglais, sans trop prêter attention et nous n'avons malheureusement pas pu changer la langue lors de la visite. Mais cette application est à recommander et une belle découverte Èlle nous À permis de quand même visiter et comprendre la plupart des explications, car nous parlons un peu anglais

Using the audio guide app at the Heraklion Archaeological Museum was a fantastic experience that really enhanced our visit. The commentary was delightfully concise and focused perfectly on the museum’s main highlights. It kept us engaged without feeling overwhelmed by too much information. Our only minor challenge was occasionally struggling to locate the exact artifacts mentioned in the audio. Clearer visual cues or display numbers in the app would make this otherwise excellent tool absolute perfection.
