L'acquisto dei biglietti è facile ed è buona anche l'assistenza per l'ingresso nella zona degli hotel. Peccato che quel giorno ci fosse sciopero generale in Francia e che il biglietto fosse inutile perché si entrava gratis... L'abbazia di M. s.Michel è affascinante, la location e il fenomeno della marea colpiscono molto. Peccato che, come altri monumenti in Francia (per esempio il palazzo dei papi di Avignone), l'abbazia sia completamente spoglia all'interno.

Ich persönlich fand den Ort und die Abtei sehr sehenswert. Ich war Anfang Oktober dort , gegen 10.00 Uhr. Zu dieser Zeit war es mit der Anzahl der Besucher noch in Ordnung. Ich möchte mir nicht vorstellen, wie es in der Hauptsaison aussieht. Ich empfehle spätestens einen Tag zuvor ein Ticket online zu kaufen, für die Abtei. Es erspart anstehen am Einlass. Kosten für das Ticket 13 Euro.

Siamo arrivati poco dopo l'alba e le strade non erano ancora affollate. Abbiamo assaporato dalle mura il rumore della marea che avanzava. Ci siamo immersi nella visita della meravigliosa abbazia: ho perso ( o riacquistato) il senso del tempo, della verticalità ed il rispetto per le capacità dell'umanità nell'abitare con rispetto il territorio

Whether you opt for an immersive digital experience or prefer a classic self-guided tour, there’s something for everyone.

Getting Started

Begin at the newly renovated visitor center on the mainland. Collect your informative visitor booklet, available in 12 languages, and get oriented with helpful displays and maps before crossing to the island. If you choose the immersive Revelacio AR tablet, you can collect the tablet and headset after a ticket check and ID deposit.

What to Expect

Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey: Enter the 1,300-year-old hilltop abbey and explore at your own pace. Wander through its dramatic cloisters, grand halls, and echoing refectories, with multilingual information boards and architectural highlights throughout.

Tablet Experience (Optional Add-On): With the Revelacio tablet, history comes to life through immersive 3D reconstructions, period re-enactments, and interactive storytelling; perfect for comprehensive, self-guided exploration.

The information booklet, available in 12 languages, includes historical facts, architectural insights, and helpful site navigation tips.

Multilingual information boards throughout the Abbey highlight the history and significance of key rooms and periods.

What to bring

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking on the cobblestone roads, and to carry warm clothing in the winter.

What's not allowed

Please note that carrier bags, knives, and scooters are not permitted on this experience.

Only small bags (cabin size) are allowed into the Abbey; suitcases and large hiking backpacks are restricted.

Accessibility

The site is challenging for visitors with reduced mobility, but assistance devices and adapted tour options are available. However, some areas may still be difficult to access despite these accommodations.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are allowed inside the monument. However, other pets are not allowed.

Additional information

Start at the renovated visitor center on the mainland, where interactive exhibits, maps, and expert insights bring Mont Saint-Michel’s history to life before you reach the Abbey.

The last entry to the Abbey is 1 hour before closing; closing time is 6pm from September to April and 7pm from May to August.

Please arrive at the redemption point 15 mins before the scheduled time of your tour to avoid any delays.
