It was a great experience. The commentator was really knowledgeable about the area and was at time very funny. He kept everyone engaged during the trip. We were lucky to strike a nice stunning weather, were able to see the rare penguin, and seals. Unfortunately we were not able to spot any dolphins on the day. Also the on board the catering had excellent choice of fast food, with free tea or coffee. I would suggest everyone who visits Milford sound, should take this trip.

This tour has it all, a perfect length cruise down the picturesque lake with some commentary from time to time about interesting locations or historical facts. A small forest walk through moss laden trees and across a babbling stream. Videos about our little 'stars' of the show, the glow worms. Caving, I was nervous I would be claustrophobic but it was fine, felt safe and well guided all the way. In my personal opinion you can't skip this if you visit Te Anau.

Our cruise was fantastic! The boat was comfortable and provided excellent shelter from the rain, and the complimentary hot drinks were a lovely touch. A special mention to Morgan, one of the crew members, who went above and beyond to make our experience truly memorable. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, making the entire cruise an unforgettable experience. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend it!

Great day on the cruise , good English commentary of the sound formation and history of discovery. Seeing the penguin s leaving the nesting area and seals lazing in the sun in the rocks just made the day . The drive into Milford Sound is also spectacular in scenery with Keas at several of the stops keeping tourists entertained Would recommend to anyone interested in the great outdoors

The boat captain and staff were very friendly and informative. We went up front during the cruise and the captain greeted us and talked to us for a while. The staff on the boat also came up to us to greet us and talked to us for a while. It was also a beautiful cruise. I would definitely do it again if we ever come back.

We loved the cruise. The boat is spacious, with many options to choose among confortable seats to places outside, were we could enjoy the wonderful landscape. The crew is very helpful and attentive to our needs. Helped us seen details on the way, throughout the wonderful Mildford Sound. We definitely recommend it!!!

The experience was a natural wonderland of all elements on a large scale. The peaks, the waterfalls, the steady flow along the water and the sun was in full beam. Blessed with the days weather. Nature really put on a show for us. And the crew at Pure Milford were fabulous from the customer service desk to the on board navigation and commentary. We felt safe and well looked after. All friendly, welcoming and their knowledge was excellent. A fabulous trip. Highly recommend Purw Milford cruises to experience this trip. Thank you so much.

Board the purpose-built boat for your return cruise across Lake Te Anau to the western shore. Your Milford Sound Cruise ticket is used separately at the designated pier in Milford Sound on the day and time shown on your voucher.

Te Anau Glowworm Caves Guided Tour

Join a Glowworm Caves tour led by an expert guide who explains the 12,000-year-old cave system and the bioluminescent gnats often called glowworms.

Cruise across Lake Te Anau on a return journey to the western shore and visit the Cavern House, where displays help you understand how the caves are still being sculpted by the underground river.

Follow your guide on a forest walk to see native flora and fauna around the lake before and after the cave visit.
