The show was amazing and the singers were out of this world. It would be great if it was longer though. The show lasts 45 mins and it was over very quickly. Luminescence at Manchester was amazing overall and the light displays were beautiful but it was the singers that made it. My only mistake was paying for the Gold package it wasn’t worth the extra cost. The only real benefit was a drink, and the drinks themselves weren’t expensive enough to justify paying £10 more for the ticket. Aside from that, the experience was great – I’d just recommend sticking to a standard ticket.

We thoroughly enjoyed Luminescence—it was such a wonderful surprise. I haven't been emotionally moved by a performance like this in a long time. Christopher Eccleston was electric talking through history from a uniquely Manchester perspective. Between the mesmerising light show, the incredible gospel singers, and the orchestral backdrop, I felt a deep sense of pride to be a Mancunian and a Northerner. 10/10. Well done to everyone involved!

Absolutely loved the show. The people giving us direction were lovely and friendly, and I loved how much the Gospel Choir seemed to be really enjoying themselves. They should be proud of themselves as they sounded wonderful. The lights were fabulous and I also enjoyed the narration of Christopher Eccleston. I brought my mum and she thoroughly enjoyed it, especially as she's not been to Manchester Cathedral before. I would recommend it.

We walked straight into the venue and to the bar and were served within three minutes, we walked around the cathedral for around 10 minutes or so before the performance. The performance itself was exquisite. The sound and light show were specific to Manchester and bought a tear to both mine and my partner's eye. We resolved at the time to tell our friends that they really needed to go before it leaves in March.

The venue was stunning and the light show spectacular. The narration from Christopher Ecckeston was so informative about the history of Manchester. The singers were excellent, however to hear those anthems from an orchestra would take the show to another level. There was plenty of seating for those who needed it and would recommend as an enjoyable evening's entertainment.

Such a beautiful event. It was so powerful with the singing and the lights it actually made me cry. The only very small negative was I was expecting more Manchester songs but it didn't spoil anything and would still be eager to go again if it returns next year.

Great atmosphere, the lighting was good and we enjoyed the story of Manchester cathedral and social history but the highlight was the gospel singers take on modern pop songs. They were all amazing singers and put on a great show.

Internationally acclaimed and now making its UK debut, LUMINISCENCE transforms the historic interior of Manchester Cathedral into a living, glowing canvas. Surrounded by sound, storytelling, and sweeping visuals, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into another dimension.

This is a walk-through show. Seating is only available on request for those who require assistance.

Guests who require assistance for this experience are entitled to one free Carer/Companion ticket when attending the experience. A Carer/Companion ticket can be selected online when purchasing tickets only on Fever. The guest requiring support must hold a valid paid ticket, and each Carer/Companion ticket must be paired with at least one full-price admission.

For your convenience, your guide dogs are welcome at the venue.

Unfortunately, this experience could not be fully adapted for deaf and visually impaired people. No additional audio guides or transcripts are currently available here.
