Landmarks in Penang

Beautifully designed attraction, with loads to see and do, or simply wonder at. The older members of our party loved the beauty of the place, while the younger ones loved getting up close and personal with a variety of different creatures.

Entopia was awesome!! It was a great learning experience for my kids. They were amazed to see so much variety of butterflies and insects.

We were absolutely blown away. The sky was quite overcast and I was worried it would impede the view but by the time we'd climbed to the top it had cleared. Stunning views from every angle. The park itself is well signposted, clean and well kept and had plenty of interesting stops along the way. The entrance process to the Habitat was clear and straight forward. Minimal queues and a lady explained we should screenshot our tickets as Internet connection was limited at the end of the trail. A very useful tip! We were enthralled. We met monkeys and millipedes, isopods, butterflies and black squirrels. The variety of fauna was staggering and our combined four children (5-11 yrs) were equally engaged. Not a single complaint or murmur. They ran, whooped and marvelled at every corner. We really didn't want it to end. It started to rain as we neared the end of the path which only enhanced the experience and after a quick assessment of the queue for the buggies we decided to walk back to base which was actually the best decision. A troop of tiny Dusky Leaf Monkeys were jumping all over the bus shelter and swinging from vines and a huge black squirrel was tightroping across the telegraph wires. Plenty more photo ops on benches and viewpoints. Highly recommend the extra, mostly downhill 1.2km to walk back to the funicular. Back at the station we grabbed some snacks. The souvenir shop could do with an overhaul and there are more toilets downstairs which aren't signposted but much cleaner and far less busy than those at ground floor level. We now live in KL and will bring all visitors to Penang. Not only for the food but the Habitat will be our primary destination. Absolutely loved it. Five stars!
