So I'm giving 5 stars for the whole experience cause it really is amazing and the views and sites are great. But I just want to mention that even if it's Egypt and "scamming" happens everywhere, it would be nice to avoid it on a day trip like this. You'll be taken for lunch that description says it's included but also says it's not included at the same time and you'll end up paying 22 euros for it even if every other meal in Egypt you'd have will cost you maximum 10.

Went with my wife and our two teens. Early start but that sunrise from the balloon…ooof, next level. Our guide (can’t remember her name, sorry!) was suuuper patient, especially with my youngest who kept asking random questions. Karnak Temple was STUNNING, but a bit crowded—guess that’s just the deal. Shoutout to the driver for finding shade every time we got back in the van. Pro tip: bring snacks, the lunch spot was meh. I’d do this tour again in a heartbeat.

Honestly, I was a bit nervous about the balloon ride (not a fan of heights) but the crew was calm and explained everything. Once we were up there, I forgot the nerves—sunrise over the Valley of the Kings is just... wow. Felt totally safe the whole time. The tour after was paced well, though we did get a bit sweaty. Our guide made Egyptian history actually INTERESTING, which is saying something for me. Worth every penny.

I’m obsessed with history and this tour DELIVERED. Our guide Ahmed could literally answer every question (I tested him, lol). The balloon ride was smooth, but the climb in and out was awkward for some older folks (help was offered though). After the temples, we got free time to wander around. I bought way too many souvenirs. Bring cash—cards aren’t accepted everywhere.

If you’re thinking about it, just book it. Got up at 3:30am, groggy but totally worth the lack of sleep. Rode the balloon, took about a million mental pics (can’t take photos during landing, fyi). Guides knew their stuff and made us laugh. Only downside: wish the van AC was a bit stronger. Still, magic morning—my girlfriend said it was the best day of the trip.
