Our guide Walker picked us up directly from our hotel, and he was an excellent guide from start to finish. He is very knowledgeable about the Everglades and shared a lot of interesting information with us during the drive and throughout the tour. The entire experience was smooth, informative, and enjoyable. Highly recommended!

If you’re after the classic airboat experience (like you see in the movies), go for a private charter. It was just my wife and me. We were able to book a time. The tour lasted 60 minutes (compared to the usual 40). We even made a stop at an island that used to be President Eisenhower's duck camp. The boat was smaller than those for the 24+ people tours and didn’t have a plexiglass shield that blocks the view. The cost is $170 each. But it's worth it.

Really good tour and super interesting. The boat ride itself is a blast and worth the cost, I just wish it could last longer for more Everglades airboat drifting and taking in the views. Our guide pointed out both local plants and animals and we even spotted a few gators on our tour. I did this solo and had no questions or issues from the tour team which was the cherry on top. Would definitely go again in the future.

Super fun outing. We booked online ahead of time and everything went smoothly. They have a couple of adult alligators in an enclosure to check out while waiting for the boat ride. The pre-ride talk was quick and informative. They provided us with earmuffs for free, which helped keep our hats on since it was really hot on the boat. We saw an alligator and some birdlife during the ride. Great experience.

This ride through the Everglades was a thrill. It was such a fun ride and the stops to look at wildlife were pretty cool. I expected to see more alligators, but maybe I’ve been spoiled by canoeing the Okeefenokee (where there might be too many alligators). Still, we saw plenty of gators, plus some turtles and lots of birds. It was cool to see different ecosystems throughout the ride too.

It was so great, we saw one alligator in the wild and what made the experience great is the people working there. We learned a lot, you can see they truly love the animals and the Everglades. However I'm not a fan of keeping those 4 alligators in captivity !

The Airboat Tour was very enjoyable, everyone was friendly and helpful. Amazing to see the gators up close in their natural habitat!

What to bring

Additional information

The first airboat tour starts at 9am.

Airboats depart every 20 to 30 minutes.

The final animal show begins at 4:30pm, and the last Airboat Tour departs at 5pm

The entrance fee to Everglades National Park is not included in your base ticket. You’ll need to pay it separately at the park entrance at $35 per vehicle or $20 per person. Kids 15 years and younger can get in for free.
