Hill Tribe Elephant Village Phuket: Small-Group Forest Walk and Elephant Keeper Learning Tour

Join a small-group elephant forest walk at Hill Tribe Elephant Village, with an ethical keeper-led learning experience near Patong.

Getting started

If you select a hotel transfer option, you will be picked up from your Phuket or Patong Tri Trang Kalim area hotel and driven to Hill Tribe Elephant Village. On arrival, meet your English-speaking guide and check in before the session begins. You then join the small-group briefing on safety and elephant welfare guidelines before moving into the main activities.

What to expect

Hill Tribe Elephant Village experience

Spend unhurried time at Patong Hill Tribe Elephant Village, where local keepers focus on calm, respectful interaction with the elephants.

Features

• Hear keeper stories about each elephant’s background, daily care routines, and behavior, and learn why there is no riding, no shows, no tricks, and no forced bathing.

• Join a small-group elephant learning experience led by an expert English-speaking guide, who introduces elephant care and welfare practices in a clear, accessible way.

• Prepare natural food under staff guidance, see how different ingredients support elephant wellbeing, and watch the elephants enjoy what you have made.

• Follow a guided forest observation walk through the hillside village area, where you observe elephants as they move, eat, forage, or rest at their own pace.

• Stay refreshed with included drinking water during the experience, and take part knowing basic insurance coverage is provided for this activity.

• Choose between meeting directly at Hill Tribe Elephant Village or adding Phuket area hotel pickup or Patong Tri Trang Kalim hotel pickup, depending on the option you select at booking.

Wrapping up

As the session ends, you have time for a Q&A with your guide and to take photos from designated areas before returning to your hotel if you selected a transfer option, or leaving from the village meeting point if you arrived independently.
