The combo ticket made our trip easy and we wasted no time queuing for tickets in the hot sun. We travelled with 2 young adults with autism and learning disabilities and staff were kind and helpful guiding us to the right location to board the train. The train was cute and cooler in the shade. Shops around the area were nice and not hassling anyone to buy. Toilets were immaculate. Although it was crowded it was easy to get a drink or ice cream and find a shady spot. On descending we could get an Uber easily to the cable car point where staff were again very helpful. There was no time limit on any visits so we could relax and have a drink in the cooler shade up higher. The area around sugar loaf is nice with bars and loads of lookout spots.

Les visites sont excellentes car la vue est vraiment très belle sur les 2 sites et c'est un passage obligé pour tout touriste. Cela dit, il ne faut pas hésiter à préciser qu'entre les 2 sites, via le combo, il faut se débrouiller pour accéder d'un site à l'autre. J'ai perdu du temps et suis arrivé en retard au deuxième site. Je recommande de commencer par le Corcovado, plus rapide. J'ai pu rentrer sans problème, malgré le retard

This majestic statue towers over Rio like a guardian angel, the art deco design is beautiful. The views from the top are stunning. I booked to go at 11am and was up at the statue by 11.30am. However, it was very busy - there was a bit of a scramble by families with small children to sit together on the train. People have said to go early, but when I came down there was no one waiting.

Very nice. 40 Minutes wait. No AC in the train. But the view was definitely worth it. Furthermore the train ride through the forest was also really nice

El viaje estuvo divino, pero con el calor que hacía deberían contar con aire acondicionado. Nos tocó mal tiempo y llovía, por lo que todas las ventanas estaban cerradas y no se podían abrir, lo que hizo que el ambiente se volviera sofocante y casi imposible de respirar.

What to bring

Carry your printed voucher to exchange for a boarding pass at the Corcovado Train box office on the day of the visit. Ensure your ID is on hand for a smooth experience.

We recommend wearing comfortable shoes, light clothing on hot days, and carrying sunscreen and sunglasses.

Accessibility

The train and viewing platforms are wheelchair accessible.

The experience involves climbing about 222 steps. But, for your convenience, ramps and elevators are available at the statue.

Additional information

Boarding point: Rua Cosme Velho, 513 – Cosme Velho.

Getting there: The Corcovado Train departs from Cosme Velho Station, located about 30 minutes by car from central Rio areas such as Copacabana, Ipanema, and Flamengo.

Avoid driving your own car since there is no parking nearby. Use a taxi, Uber, or public bus to reach the station.

The selected time slot is for the train going up to the Statue, the exact departure time will be confirmed on your boarding pass. Arrive at the station at least 30 minutes before your scheduled time for a smooth boarding experience.

Note: Trains depart approximately every 30 minutes. Priority boarding applies only to the uphill train; return transfers are on a first-come, first-served basis. So, plan your return accordingly.
