Bravissima la guida,abbondante tempo per foto,ottimo servizio per tornare al parcheggio. Sito tenuto in ottimo stato e pulito. Unica pecca:Alla partenza i wc erano out of service. A quasi settant'anni diventa un problema. Cercate una soluzione.

Die Tour begann 25 Minuten verspätet. Wir sollten eine 3/4 Stunde vorher da sein, d.h. wir standen im Wesentlichen 1,25 Stunden nur blöd rum. Wie wir später erfahren ahben, passiert das wohl bei dieser Tour häufiger. Der konkrete Treffpunkt war überhaupt nicht klar. Der Platz vor dem El Kioske ist groß und es waren viele Menschen da. Andere Tourveranstalter hatten einen eigenen Stand. Dieser nicht. Auch der Ansprechaprtner hatte nichts an der Kleidung, woran man erkennen konnte, dass er für die Tourorganisation zuständig ist. Die Gruppe war viel zu groß. Dadurch bewegte Sie sich auch sehr langsam. Der Guide war akkustisch wegen der Grupengröße nicht immer zu verstehen. Er sprach auch ein miserables Englisch. Auch das war nicht immer zu verstehen. Wir werden nicht mehr bei headout buchen.

Rest assured, it underwent extensive renovations in 2015, adhering to all safety regulations. The pathway winds along narrow cliff edges, suspended high above the rushing waters of the Guadalhorce River below. Along the way, you'll witness the rugged beauty of the Andalusian countryside, dotted with olive groves and almond orchards, framed by the distant peaks of the Sierra de Huma and the Sierra de las Nieves.

Conquer the cliffs and the tricky trails

Beyond the hike itself, learn the rich history of the area, from the remnants of the original pathway built in the early 20th century to the nearby ruins of ancient settlements. Rock climbing enthusiasts will find ample opportunities to test their skills on the rugged cliffs that frame the gorge, while birdwatchers can observe the diverse avian species that call this region home. Walk down steep hills with narrow curves on a cement boardwalk and the 'Butter Stairs,' named for their waveform, preserved during restoration. A major highlight is the Glass Balcony on the rocky buttress. The boardwalk, with its glass floor, tests visitors' vertigo, making you feel like you're standing over the abyss!

What to bring

Wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring along water, energy bars, sandwiches or fruit & nuts, and sunscreen.

What's not allowed

Safety is a priority so this experience is restricted for guests under the age of 8 years.

People with vertigo or heart or lung-related diseases are not allowed on this trail.

Shutterbugs, take note: Photography using selfie sticks or tripods is prohibited.

The following are not allowed on the hike: bulky backpacks, smoking, crutches and/or canes.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

Accessibility

This experience is not the best fit for pregnant people and guests with cardiac, respiratory, locomotor, or vertigo issues.

This experience is not accessible by wheelchair and pram/strollers.

Additional information

Caminito del Rey is a one-way trek. Your tour will start at the north entrance (Ardales) and end at the south entrance, in El Chorro town.

If you are driving by yourself, you can park your vehicle at the Visitor Centre Parking Lot.

Carry 2.50 EUR change to book a roundtrip shuttle service from the parking lot to the meeting point of the trek. For maximum convenience, the shuttle also drops you back at the parking lot.

The total length of the trail is 7.7 KM (4.8 miles). Please ensure appropriate physical preparedness.

Please plan to have a meal and use the washroom before beginning the trek, as there is no facility or possibility to stop in the middle of the route.

Guests between the ages of 8 and 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. Don't forget to bring along your ID, passport, family book, or equivalent document.

Your voucher will be emailed to you 1 day before your date of visit.

Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the redemption point.

Please arrive at the redemption point 60 mins before the scheduled time of your visit to avoid any delays.
