When i got to the aquarium area for our trip with my autistic son they told me my 12 noon on august 21 was cancelled ,it,s a good thing i went to the aquarium area early ,one of the nice young woman that work for the cruises took me to the ticket booth they told me i was getting my money refunded,and if i had $152.OO THEY can put me on the 11am whalewatch i was so happy i didn,t have to go back to Auburn Ma on the train ,They also gave my son a senior ticket even though he,s 27,The Boatride was Kind of rough ,I tried going ouside the front it was to windy,I always loved Boston harbor We did see some whales<I took my son to quincy market after the ride,They took our photo when we were in line my son was ready to pay but no one knows who took the photo,they only other cruise i wouldn,t mind going is provincetown,Thank you again Gary Burnett.I have no photos sorry.

Exceptional experience! The guides and crew were knowledgeable, engaging, and made us feel like we were in the best hands from start to finish. We lucked out with incredible conditions, multiple whale sightings, and plenty of other marine life along the way. An unforgettable experience and one we’d absolutely recommend. The New England Aquarium Whale Watching tour is the way to go!

We had an incredible experience whale watching - saw dolphins, minkes, and humpbacks. The guide from the NE aquarium was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and shared so much great information. I appreciated how well the team collaborated together, from the captain to the researchers on board. Would definitely recommend and do again!

Whale watch was exciting and informative. So many humpbacks and the captain kept us near the whales the whole time we were at the bank. Also like the tracking of the whales with the family tree and ages. This was my 4th time on the aquarium whale watch over the last 15 years and it never disappoints.

The woman narrating the sightings was AMAZING. She had so much enthusiasm, knowledge and joy about the whales, as well as the blue shark we saw. Her happiness set a great tone for the trip and the facts she shared were interesting. I left the trip feeling smarter about the ocean.

Highly recommend this cruise by New England aquarium. They are highly knowledgeable and ensure that you see lots of whales. They also provide a lot of education. The tour ran longer than expected, but we appreciated it because we saw so many unique whales.

The whales! Lol. Also the staff was very knowledgable and polite. They answered questions and proactively checked in on everyone to make sure we were all doing well.

Getting started

Meet your crew at the boarding point mentioned on your ticket. After a quick security scan, head to the high-speed catamaran. Departure is from One Long Wharf, located between the Long Wharf Marriott Hotel and the New England Aquarium.

What to expect

Enjoy the luxuries of the boat—spacious outdoor observation decks and climate-controlled indoor cabins furnished with big windows, cushioned seats, tables, state-of-the-art audio and video systems, and a snack counter where you can purchase snacks and drinks.
