Just WOW. Went solo on this private Kruger safari and legit think it’s the best thing I’ve done all year. My guide (can’t remember his name, sorry!) was soooo good at spotting animals – like, I swear he’s got superpowers or something. Saw lions, elephants, and even a cheetah napping under a tree. Got a little sunburned (bring sunscreen, trust me) but didn’t care. Vehicle was comfy, not crammed at all. Picked me up right at my hostel in Hazyview, on time. Bit chilly in the morning but warmed up by lunch. Could’ve stayed forever. If you’re thinking about it, just GO.

We did this with my partner and it was really good overall. I loved the private truck—no one else except us and the guide! Guide was super chill. We saw a ton of animals, but missed out on the leopard (next time maybe). It did get a bit crowded at the main gate, so we waited like 30 min to get in. Still totally worth it. Bring snacks, the lunch stop had limited veggie options.

Our family (kids are 8 and 10) had an EPIC day out in Kruger! The guide was patient with the endless questions and even gave the kids little animal checklists. Saw giraffes right by the road, plus elephants and zebras. The only bummer was the roads get a bit bumpy, so if you get carsick, maybe take something beforehand. Pick up from our hotel was right on time. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Went with friends and had the BEST time. Guide was super knowledgeable (told us all these random facts about dung beetles??) and stopped whenever we wanted photos. Saw 4 of the Big Five before lunch. Drinks in the cooler were a nice touch. Got a bit hot in the afternoon, bring a hat. Would def recommend, especially if you want a chill vibe.

It was ok. Guide was friendly, but honestly we didn’t see that many animals—just a lot of impalas and some giraffes. Maybe just bad luck with timing. Vehicle was comfy tho and pickup was smooth. Still a cool experience, but not as wild as I hoped.
