We had an amazing experience at Lower Antelope Canyon. The canyon itself was absolutely breathtaking, but what made our visit truly special was our guide, Edar. My daughter suddenly felt unwell during the tour, and Edar was incredibly kind, patient, and caring. He made sure she was okay and helped us through the situation with great professionalism and compassion. We are very grateful for his support. Thank you, Edar, for turning a difficult moment into something we will always remember with gratitude. Highly recommended!

It doesn't matter how good Lower Antelop Canyon is, it would mean nothing with good Staff. From Kylie, the happy, beautiful meet and greet staff who went above and beyond to make the whole tour seamless, to the knowledgeable guide walking us through the Canyon. With stories, facts, personal invites to the best photo spots and angles. This was a great experience. To put in prospective, on this trip we have visited The Grand Canyon. Arches NP, Monument Valley and the Rocky Mountains NP. Even went to Upper Antelop Canyon in the afternoon. All these places are stunning and beatiful, but none have even come close to leaving such great memories as Dixes. And that comes down to KYLIE and all the staff.......we appreciated everything while travelling from Australia.

Beautiful place!!! Totally worth it, our guide esa great! I do reccommend that the tours take a little longer, we felt we where on a rush all the time and couldn't enjoyed it as we wanted to.

We did the Lower Antelope Canyon tour (6/8/26). Easy to get to, clean facility, very friendly and welcoming staff. Our guide was Jason. He was so friendly and made sure everyone in the group was included. We really enjoyed the tour and would definitely go again. Highly recommended!

Getting started

Arrive at the check-in booth near the main entrance 45 minutes before your tour, where your guide will greet you and review safety guidelines. After a short 10-minute walk along a rocky and sandy trail, your group will descend five flights of stairs into the canyon’s largest cavern to begin the tour.

This iconic slot canyon, carved over millennia by rain and wind, is renowned for its Navajo sandstone formations found only in the Southwest. The tour covers approximately 1.1 miles round trip, featuring narrow passageways and vibrant natural colors shaped by erosion.

What to bring

Comfortable, closed-toe footwear with good traction is required; sandals, open-toed shoes, and heels are not allowed.

A valid photo ID that matches the name on your booking may be required at check-in.

Wear clothing suitable for walking and outdoor conditions.

What’s not allowed

Bags of any type, including clear or transparent bags, are not permitted inside the canyon.

Tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, GoPros, and drones are prohibited.

Pets and service animals are not allowed due to safety concerns.

Firearms, weapons, and smoking are strictly forbidden.

Walking sticks and hiking poles are not permitted.

Accessibility

This tour is not wheelchair accessible.

Guests must navigate steep stairs and ladders, making the experience unsuitable for those with limited mobility.

Pregnant guests, individuals recovering from recent injuries or surgeries, or those with neck, back, or related conditions should not participate.

Additional information

The following documents need to be signed by all participants before joining the tour: Participant Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks, and Indemnity Agreement in favor of Lower Antelope Canyon Tours.

The tour is not recommended for guests who are uncomfortable in tight or enclosed spaces, as the canyon narrows at the bottom.

While uncommon, sightings of Southwestern wildlife such as snakes, spiders, or scorpions are possible.

Please check in at least 45 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time.

For safety and an enjoyable experience, follow all guidance and instructions from your Navajo guide throughout the tour.
