We visited the American Museum of Natural History with our family (two children, ages 9 and 11) – and it was a fantastic experience! The museum is incredibly interesting and full of fascinating exhibits. Our kids were especially amazed by the dinosaur halls and the impressive animal dioramas. There’s also plenty for adults to enjoy – from the ocean exhibits to human history and space displays. Everything is presented in an engaging and educational way, perfect for both kids and grown-ups. You should definitely plan to spend at least four hours here to explore the main sections without rushing. The museum is huge, so it helps to decide in advance which areas you want to see most. Overall, a wonderful and educational outing for the whole family – highly recommended!

Good experience- must to do with kids and get their curiosity going for science, genesis of life on earth in an immersive and enriching way. It is one of the best museum experiences and we truly enjoyed including this in our New York tour. Strongly recommend to travellers of all ages, especially those with kids

Абсолютно рекомендую сходить в этот музей. Мы нашли там бесплатную экскурсию с гидом. Это была отличная идея. И музей заиграл еще более яркими красками. Мы пробыли там 3 часа, и все залы мы не обошли. Ходить не переходить. Електронный ваучер нужно обменять на билет.

Enter via the main entrance at Central Park West & 79th Street. Show your ticket and photo ID. All visitors go through a security screening. One special exhibit is included with your ticket—select at entry.

Impact: The End of the Age of Dinosaurs: Learn more about the asteroid collision that happened 66 million years ago, which resulted in the end of the age of dinosaurs, and the explosion of life that followed.

Fossil Halls: Stand beneath fossilized giants like the Tyrannosaurus rex, Stegosaurus, and the 122-foot titanosaur.

Mignone Halls of Gems and Minerals: View 5,000+ gems, glowing minerals, and amethyst geodes that tell Earth’s ancient story.

Milstein Hall of Ocean Life: Gaze up at a 94-foot blue whale model and learn about ocean ecosystems and marine species.

Mammal dioramas: Encounter lifelike wildlife in the Bernard Family Hall of North American Mammals and Akeley Hall of African Mammals.

Hall of Human Origins: Track our evolutionary journey through fossils and interactive displays.

You can select the special exhibit of your choice at the ticket counter when you arrive based on your preference.

The Museum has a parking garage at its 81st entrance and a subway stop (81st Street – Museum of Natural History) where the B and C trains stop.

If you live in New York State, you can choose your own admission price — just show a valid ID at the entrance.

The museum offers free entry during the last hour of the day, from 4:30pm to 5:30pm.

Your voucher will be emailed to you instantly.

Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the redemption point. Students must show a valid student ID.
