The ancient theater with Mt Etna seen in background is an amazing place- a must see when in Sicily! The staff at the theater were so pleasant professional and helpful. It poured rain at our allotted time so we were in a restaurant waiting for rain to subside. We arrived a couple hours after allotted time . they accepted our tickets purchased thru headout without hesitation '. it was fantastic!

EL teatro de Taormina es uno de los teatros griegos mejor conservados, y de hecho, en la actualidad todavía se utiliza para representar en verano. Estremece pensar que sobre esas mismas gradas los antiguos espectadores se deleitaron con las palabras de Esquilo, de Sófocles o de Eurípides. Además nos hizo un tiempo muy agradable (mediados de octubre) y pudimos hacer la visita a placer.

Came early, spent one and a half wonderful hour before it got too crowded. Liked the audio guide a lot, nice to walk around and listen and spend the time I wanted. Also liked that the audio guide included som general history and stories about the area

J'ai acheté les tickets sur le site Headout. Tout le processus s'est parfaitement déroulé, beaucoup de clarté et de facilité dans les différentes étapes du processus. À l'entrée du site, j'ai échangé sans problème les contremarques contre des billets. Je me suis même présenté 1h30 avant l'heure de resa initiale et l'échange a pu se faire immédiatement. Mis à part cel, le site e es st monumental, les vues sublimes. Beaucoup de plaisir et d'émotion.

Originally accommodating around 10,000 spectators, today, its capacity is 4,500. Despite over 2,000 years since its creation, this venue remains active, hosting opera and theater performances. Within the theatre, explore fragments of 3rd-century BC painted plaster, remnants of the Gymnasium, and Greek inscriptions such as the Strategists' tables. Roman relics abound, including a calendar, consuls' lists by the baths, and a 2nd-century AD sarcophagus

On the first Sunday of the month admission to sites in Eastern Sicily is free of charge and tickets will only be issued on site, at the ticket offices. Tickets can only be used on the date/time chosen at the time of purchase. Admission will be free of charge also the 4th of November.
