Since,I'm new visitor to Kyoto , I couldn't locate where in Kyoto Station your buses were located. On the brochure is should indicated 'Bus Terminal'. Lack of Signage can be confusing. This bus tour gave me insight of Kyoto. I stayed on the bus for East line than continue on with West Line. Lack of coordination on went the bus will stop to get off. There should be signal of the next Stop. So folks can get Off.

It was a convenient way to get to places in comfort. When we stopped and asked which way to walk, the bus attendant responded that he didn't speak English. It seems like an employee on a tour bus could point us in the direction to walk to get to the attraction. We were also disappointed in the audio tracks. They would start to tell a story about a location, then cut out at the end. We never heard the ends! Many of the audio tracks didn't line up with the locations either. I've ridden on buses like these in other cities, this was the worst one.

The hop on hop off bus tours are usually a good way to see a lot of sights in a short time frame and we have used these a couple of times in other cities. Unfortunately this time in Kyoto the buses only came every 40 mins so we wasted a lot of time waiting for a bus. We wished we just used the public transport this time, it wasn't worth the money.

Schedule is basically hourly so need to be really mindful of timing. Need to really plan stops and route to get the value of the pass
