Went solo, mostly for Liechtenstein, but Heidiland surprised me—SO GREEN, like something out of a storybook. Our guide Anna was super patient with all my random questions. Crowd was bigger than I hoped (esp after lunch), and we had to hustle a bit at the end to get back to the bus. Wish I could’ve stayed longer in Vaduz, but all in all, worth it for the castle views and that quirky post office stamp!

Did this with my partner and our two teens—they were grumpy early but perked up at the castle in Vaduz. LOVED the countryside drive, honestly the views are EPIC. Our guide, Hans, had the best dad jokes (my kids rolled their eyes, I laughed). Only downside, not enough time to poke around Heidiland's farm area, but still got some cute goat pics. Highly recommend for families.

Really enjoyed the train vibes through the Swiss countryside. Heidiland was almost too cute. We got some rain in Vaduz but still wandered around the souvenir shops. Our guide seemed to know everyone, which made us feel like locals. Only thing, the lunch stop was RIGHT when I wasn’t hungry, so I just had cake.

Your first stop is Rapperswil. Wander the medieval Old Town, admire Rapperswil Castle, and enjoy lakeside strolls through cobbled streets of the ‘city of roses’

Cross the Toggenburg region to enter the neighboring country, Liechtenstein. Explore the capital Vaduz at leisure; visit the iconic post office for rare stamps, stop by a café, or take in castle views.

Head to the village that inspired Johanna Spyri’s cult children’s classic, Heidi with its meadows and goats.

Note: Visiting in summer includes entry to Heidi’s Village with Alpine chalets, goats, and a village shop. In winter, the itinerary is modified to visit Werdenberg, featuring Switzerland’s oldest houses and a hilltop castle.

Rapperswil stop was nice but way too short. Heidiland was cute for photos, but honestly, I didn’t know the Heidi story (felt like maybe I missed a joke?). Liechtenstein was cool to tick off my list but a bit sleepy. Guide was helpful but felt like we were on a schedule the whole time. Not bad if you want a sampler platter, but felt a bit rushed.

The best way to see a bunch of places in a day, honestly. Our guide was full of stories, especially about old Swiss traditions. Rapperswil was so picturesque, felt like a fairytale. Heidiland had a bit of a theme-park vibe but my little sister LOVED it. Vaduz is tiny but the castle peeking over the town made my day. Would do again!
