A shared bus transfer is the most affordable and comfortable option. Enjoy spacious seats, and dedicated luggage racks to keep all your bags. Since the National Express bus station is just across the airport exit terminal, you will have to walk barely any distance before you reach the bus itself. With several stops around the city, and you can choose to get off at a convenient location.
