La metamorfosi romantica è uno strumento antico per creare una storia fiabesca e ipnotica, e My Fair Lady la sfrutta al meglio. Il musical ha il suo fascino, a partire da Henry Higgins. Cerca di trasformare la sporca e trasandata Eliza, che trova a vendere fiori a Covent Garden, in una pudica signora dell'alta società, a partire dall'accento e dal modo di parlare. Higgins cerca di dimostrare un punto di vista linguistico, ma inavvertitamente si innamora della ragazza malandata, e così iniziano le prove. Eliza deve sottoporsi a delle prove all'Embassy Ball e alle corse di Ascot per inserirsi nella società della sua epoca. Guarda come Eliza prende il suo posto accanto a Higgins e si eleva per rivendicare il suo posto in una società che criticava severamente le sue classi inferiori.
Il musical è diretto da Bartlett Sher, che ha ricevuto ben 9 nomination ai Tony Awards. È famoso per aver diretto classici come Il violinista sul tetto e Io e il re. Sher ha ricevuto anche un Tony Award per la miglior direzione di un musical e un Drammatico Desk Award per la sua direzione della produzione del 2008 di South Pacific.

I found the tickets on headout where I have got a big choice of variety. The price and the seats were excellent. Everything was very good. My fair lady is very interesting topic about language and love, a lot of playing with the English language. An excellent play and singing.Laura

Loved the old world atmosphere of this 200 year old theatre! The performers for My Fair Lady were greatly rehersed and the staff were so helpful. Thank you😃Andrew

The staff were all extremely polite with smiles, the facilities were clean and very adequate. My fair lady was superb in every way.

This was my first visit to the London Colosseum and I have to say this is a beautiful theatre. Of course all the familiar songs were there, sung beautifully and the principal characters performed very well. It was a bit of a jump for me to warm to the Arthur Doolittle character. I still have the burly , East End costed monger type of old in my head. All in all a great experience.
