Why You Shouldn’t Miss This
Why You Shouldn’t Miss This
The Hungarian Parliament Building is one of the two tallest buildings in Budapest and is the largest building in Hungary. It sits in the bank of the River Danube. Built in the Gothic Revival style, its facade is populated by spires and pointed arches that are well associated with Gothic architecture. There are an astonishing 242 sculptures scattered throughout the building. Its central dome is built in the Renaissance Revival architecture.
Since it a popular attraction in Budapest, there are two perfectly identical Parliament halls. One is used for political purposes, while the other, for tours.
One of the most famous features is the presence of a sixteen-sided central hall, with adjoining chambers of the Lower and Upper houses. The Hungarian Folklore Show includes a scintillating performance by some of the top ensembles in Hungary, the Danube Folk Ensemble, Rajkó Folk Ensemble, and the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble.
