C'était un voyage très bien planifié ! Notre guide Brewski était excellent ! Il a un grand sens de l'humour et bien que nous n'ayons pas eu la chance de voir le Mont Fuji car il était couvert de nuages, il a fait en sorte que le voyage soit quand même génial !

Great to reserve seats for each segment of travel
The only down side was we could only book tickets 6 times with the machine then had to go to the ticket counter. Had to stand in line for over an hour one time. The machines should allow at least bookings before having to go to the counter

So far so good but there was a little hassle in the beginning when I went to the JR station to exchange the email receipt with the Hokkaido rail pass. The staff found that the same name was printed for all 3 tickets even though I have emailed the names of all 3 passengers so she had to call the JR main office to confirm before printing it out which took quite some time and caused a delay in our itinerary.

Perfect for first-timers in Japan! The JR staff helped us understand the system really well. Trains were spotless and comfortable.
