The small village churches of Santa María Tonantzintla and San Francisco Acatepec bear witness to the profound faith of the Mexicans serving as examples for their devoutness and desire for religious sacrifice. The church of Acatepec is renowned for its unique Talavera ceramic facade while the inside of the church of Tonantzintla is decorated with extraordinary stucco work by anonymous artists. Following this, you will disembark at an archeological site to view the Great Pyramid of Cholula, the largest pyramid on the planet, with a base four times larger than the Great Pyramid at Giza and nearly twice the volume.
Move on to Puebla, one of the largest colonial cities in Mexico that thrives under the shadows of four volcanoes, offering a beautiful backdrop to both modern and ancient settlements. The tour will take you past the majestic Cathedral at the Main Square and the chapel of the Rosary which is considered the eighth wonder of the art world.
