Musician’s Bio: Simone Lamsma
Born in 1985 in Leeuwarden, Simone started playing the violin when she was five year old. She was the youngest student at the Royal Academy of Music where she received a full scholarship. At school, she won the HRH Princess Alice’s Prize, Louise Child Prize, and the Roth Prize - all for exemplary performances in music.
After graduation, she toured various venues and orchestra and was well received by audiences all around. She is also the winner of the National Violin Competition Oskar Back, Benjamin Britten International Violin Competition and the Chinese International Competition.

The concert is a special evening part of the Robeco Summer Nights. The concert is an exploration of classical works by genius composers! Featuring the exciting and lively National Youth Orchestra the concert will also feature soloist Simone Lamsma.
The concert will focus on three main scores within the classical repertoire.
