Herculano: tour guiado sin colas con arqueólogo

Had two amazing tours with Headout - the guides were funny, friendly and enthusiastic and really brought the places to life. So glad I booked tours - I would have missed so much without them! Highly recommend.

Visite très intéressante avec notre guide Alfredo, qui est également archéologue. Le site a pris vie grâce à ses explications : fouler les vestiges d'une telle cité qui a disparu en quelques instants est émouvant. Site bien préservé, visite guidée bien organisée (avec une oreillette individuelle pour bien entendre le guide) et un guide sympathique et compétent, nous recommandons cette expérience !

Very informative and I think we saw ALL of the sights at Herculaneum. What an awesome place to visit and go back in time! The guide was exceptionally knowledgeable but at no point did she say she was an archaeologist and could well have been just a tour guide, which made me question whether she was indeed an archaeologist. If she wasn't, why advertise the tour was with an archaeologist? There was a lot of hanging around before we started, despite checking in 15 minutes before. We weee just ready to go when we had to wait for my two children to get children tickets, and THEN the whole group was told they had to check in their bags despite others having larger rucksacks than us. Didn't seem fair and seemed a waste of time. But these were logistical problems, easy to fix. We really enjoyed the experience, and it kept the kids entertained for over 2 hours! Thank you.

Nos hubiera gustado poder elegir al final del tour si realmente queríamos hacer una pausa de 90 minutos para comer o utilizar el tiempo por nuestra cuenta en Pompeya. Nos hubiera gustado hacerlo para ir a la otra zona que aún no habíamos visto. Se podría haber indicado con antelación el punto de encuentro para la continuación del viaje. También hubiera estado bien que nos hubieran dado un mapa de Pompeya.

Antonella fue una guía estupenda; hizo que Herculano cobrara vida con sus descripciones e información. Un tour muy agradable. Nos encantó. ¡Brillante!

Herculano es increíble y la guía compartió alguna información interesante, pero el billete sugería que era una visita guiada con un arqueólogo, pero parecía ser una guía regular.

Visitamos Pompeya y Herculano en dos días distintos, cada uno de ellos necesario como excursión Askos. Nuestro guía en Jercuneum era fantástico, pero nuestro guía en Pompeya no era realmente un arqueólogo y el tamaño del grupo no era pequeño. Me decepcionó. I feel like Siento que no aprendí mucho. Y el inglés del guía no era fluido.

El guía era un apasionado del tema y estaba muy bien informado. Nos hizo comprender la diferencia entre Pompeya y Herculano.

La visita se benefició de contar con un guía arqueólogo. Valió la pena el dinero extra para escuchar sus explicaciones sobre los edificios y la gente.

El guía estaba muy motivado y tenía muchos conocimientos de arqueología, etc. Él hadxa obra maestra hecha con fotos Wich dio super ilustración. We can recommend him

La experiencia con las entradas fue excelente. El punto de encuentro era en la puerta del parque y no estaba claro que el lugar de encuentro estuviera más adentro, un agradable guardia de seguridad no afiliado dirigía a la gente. El representante del tour fue muy acogedor y servicial. La visita en sí fue estupenda. El guía apenas paraba para respirar, pero era una mina de información y muy interesante. Lo único que lamento es que habíamos reservado un autobús al Vesubio por la tarde, de lo contrario nos habríamos quedado a echar un vistazo. Si piensa quedarse todo el día, lleve algo de comer, ya que hay una zona donde se puede comer, pero la única comida disponible es en máquinas expendedoras.

Nuestro guía, Michael, nos dio muchísima información. Nos dio tanta información que a veces nos mareaba. El sitio está lleno de objetos y recorrerlos en dos horas es todo un reto. Lamentamos que el museo cerrara antes de poder entrar.

We had a fabulous experience on our two hour archaeologist-guided tour of Herculaneum, owing to our brilliant & knowledgeable tour guide, Luciano Leone. In terms of the booking process & experience with Headout, the website was easy to navigate, the booking confirmation was clear & the meeting point information was helpful; I also booked the pompeii guided experience & found the meeting place far easy to locate on the Hercalaneum tour, primarily owing to the tour organiser ASKOS being easy to spot with her signage. I would suggest that the description of the meeting place as outside the ticket office within the archaeological park could just be further clarified to state that the ticket office is a few minutes walk down the park & to the left. But overall it was far far clearer to find this tour than it was to locate its equivalent in Pompeii, where the meeting place was more complicated in its description despite its detail - in this scenario the tour organiser would've greatly benefited from a sign like the ASKOS tour had in Herculaneum. Equally helpful was the follow up email I received from Headout regarding travelling to the site via the circumvesuviana train & the need to change train in order to reach the site. This was great info to have in advance of travel. Once the ASKOS tour organiser had introduced us to our tour guide outside the ticket office, our fantastic tour was immediately underway before we even entered the site with info about the park itself. Luciano was immediately a warm & welcoming guide, whose enthusiam, professional experience & knowledge was not only palpable, but contagious. Within the constraints of the 2 hour tour time frame, Luciano endeavoured to provide us with as many fascinating facts as he could, & help us understand Herculaneum as it once was, as well as how it now is. His brilliant show & tell folder & archaelogical 'insider' knowledge made for a fabulous, engaging experience that we would thoroughly recommend to anyone. Overall, we felt we received a brilliant tour that really made us feel like we had seen Heculaneum in great detail, Luciano was thoroughly impressive in his English skills, warm & friendly persona, his vast knowledge & his sheer love of archaeology at Herculaneum. Luciano tried to answer any questions asked & we would have loved the tour to have lasted longer so we could've heard more of his brilliant info. Grazie mille, Luciano !

Luciano made Herculeum come alive with his passion, knowledge and expertise in the area.He was patient, clear and respectful in his approach. A great and excellent guide for this amazing city with its rather terrible end.

Herculano era un lugar fantástico, mucho mejor conservado que Pompeya. El guía (el Dr. Luciano Leone) era tan conocedor y Enthisiasic que hizo el recorrido tan bery interesante y agradable. Se lo recomendaría a todo el mundo.

Pasamos un día estupendo y lo disfrutamos mucho. Llegamos 20 minutos tarde debido al tráfico en la estación de Nápoles, y nuestro guía turístico nos dejó boquiabiertos, hizo un trabajo fantástico, con mucho conocimiento e información, lo que fue estupendo. PS seguid con el gran trabajo que estáis haciendo Giuseppe y Sophie.

Vinc (Enzo), nuestro guía, fue fantástico. Tan bien informado. Hizo que Pompeya cobrara vida. Él sabía exactamente lo que era digno de ver y explicó todo a fondo. Respondió a todas las preguntas de forma reflexiva y experta.

La visita fue excelente y nuestra arqueóloga Sylvia hizo un trabajo fantástico explicando toda la historia del lugar y los detalles de la erupción con gran conocimiento y humor. No puedo recomendar la excursión lo suficiente.

The tour with an archeologist who worked at the site was worth the extra charge and the visit was so much better for having booked in advance. The guide brought the site to life and gave us a better understanding of what we were looking at. She was also very mindful of the heat and sunshine and did her very best to keep us in the shade where possible without detracting from what we were looking at. The infomation provided prior to the trip regarding travel and access was invaluable I am ot sure I would have had such a stress free journey had I not had the information to hand.

La venta de entradas estuvo bien, como es de esperar en los tiempos que corren, dominados por la tecnología, pero fue Vince, el guía turístico, quien realmente hizo que el lugar cobrara vida. Conocedor, informativo y servicial son sólo tres de sus muchos talentos - un verdadero guía turístico que realmente hizo el viaje para nosotros. Nunca volveremos a ver un limón de la misma manera.
