Da Tower und Tower Bridge eng beieinander liegen, bietet sich eine Vor- und Nachmittagskombi der beiden Sehenswürdigkeiten an. Für den Tower hatten wir mit zwei Kindern (7 und 10 Jahre) 2 Stunden eingeplant, was adäquat war. Im Tower haben wir den gesamten Nachmittag verbracht. Speziell in der Tower Bridge ist der Rundgang durch das Museum und den Maschinenraum für die Kinder mit einer Begleitaktion sehr unterhaltsam gestaltet.

Die Tickets waren einfach zu erwerben, wir wählten eine Doppelkarte mit einer Ermäßigung für Senioren. An beiden Orten war das Personal sehr flexibel und ermöglichte uns einen frühen Einlass. Für den Tower sollte man 2 bis 3 Stunden einplanen, da es so viel zu sehen gibt. Der Audioguide ist sehr lohnenswert, der Beefeater-Guide lockt viele an. Unser Ausflug zur Tower Bridge war faszinierend, ein Besuch im Maschinenraum lohnt sich, sehr interessant.

Wir haben erst den Tower mit den Kronjuwelen besucht. In 4 Stunden haben wir alles gesehen und es war ein tolles Erlebnis. Das Highlight war dann London Eye. Da haben wir uns dann Fast Track gegönnt und das war wirklich super, da wir so zur Gondel durchgehen konnten ohne zu warten. Ein toller Tag.

Ich habe den Besuch der Tower Bridge und den Gang über die Brücke sehr genossen. Ein bisschen unheimlich, über das "Glas" zu gehen, aber nicht zu verpassen. Die Erkundung des Maschinenraums war lustig. Der Tower of London war natürlich riesig und voller Geschichte. Die Kronjuwelen waren unfassbar.

Alles war sehr einfach, Ankunft, Eintritt, Besichtigung, übrigens waren wir etwas zu früh, aber das Personal, sehr freundlich, ließ uns rein. Interessanter Besuch an beiden Standorten, ich empfehle es.

The Crown Jewels also consist of the grand Imperial State Crown, which is adorned with 2,868 diamonds, 273 pearls, 17 sapphires, 11 emeralds, and 5 rubies. Apart from these experiences, you will get to see live historical re-enactments and other exhibitions like 'Coins & Kings' and 'Line of Kings'.
