Sir, we booked a tour with a small bus last week and we enjoyed it IMMENSELY!!! This mainly due to the extreme care Mr Ricardo Rite(?) took with us!! In my life, I have seen much of the world, (England, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Hongkong, Taiwan, Japan, Hawaii, USA, Germany, Austria, Romania, Ceska, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Spain, France, Italy, Kenia, Madagascar, Brazil, Mexico, Tanger,Gibraltar and more)! But I 've NEVER met a guide like Ricardo! He was extremly friendly and his personal way of comunication to each of us was just fantastic. Whatever we wished, it was most professionally arranged by him. Please forward our deepest thanks to Mr Ricardo. The tour was the highlight of our holiday, thanks to him, you can be proud to have a guide like him!

what an amazing tour! Andrea, our guide, was so friendly an accommodating. The day was long, but there were stop offs, sites to see and facilities on the way. Lunch was lovely and they even arranged a completely vegan meal for me that wasn't just bread or potatoes. The wine was delicious, but it would have been nice if more was offered. 1 bottle of red and 1 white to share between 8 on a wine tour is a bit stingey. The port tasting later on was amazing and our speaker was so friendly and informative. Water was provided as it was 40 degrees and we were moved into the shade as much as possible. The boat ride at the end was stunning and really peaceful. Brilliant way to spend the day and I highly reccomend this tour

Initially I was not sure whether I will take this tour. I was a single traveller. But I booked myself anyway . The guide (Jose M and Mayken) was very good, soft spoken and though I was travelling alone he asked several times during the tour if everything was ok. The first stop was a village with a fascinating church. The regional lunch was delicious to say the least and then we went for the wine tasting and the cruise. The cruise in the Douro river was relaxing and the weather was intoxicating. We returned to Porto around 7 pm. I am glad I did the trip and Duoro Valley trip is highly recommended to see the beauty of the region.

On Wednesday, Feb. 21, we did the Douro tour to Pinhao. Tiago Santos, our guide picked us up at our hotels and kept a lively informative patter throughout our trip to our first stop at Amarante where we visited the church and walked along the old Romanesque bridge. After this brief stop, we continued through the countryside to the city of Lamego where we visited the Nossa Senhora dos Remedios Shrine at the top of a hill. A visit to the beautiful church there was completed with a walk down the steps to the city square. We then had a delicious Portuguese lunch before continuing on to Pinhao where we took a 45 minute cruise on the Douro river. Ending our stop in Pinhao with a tour and tasting at the Roeda Wine Estate - Croft- Taylor’s Group. Throughout the day, Tiago answered questions and told us many interesting facts about the port wine industry and the local area, pointing out sites of interest as we travelled. Before heading back to Porto, he drove up some fascinatingly narrow roads to a stunning lookout over the valley. It was an indication of Tiago’s desire to give us all a rich and varied experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him as he was not only knowledgeable but extremely personable as well

We recently took the Douro Historical Tour. We can’t recommend this tour enough! It was interesting, exciting and a lot of fun! All thanks to our wonderful guide Annabela . She made us all feel like a good friend. She was knowledgeable and answered all our questions with patience. Cudos to our driver Treitas who maneuvered those sharp steep mountain roads with ease. I highly recommend this wonderful tour.

Thank you Francisco for making a questionable weather day in the Douro Valley so much fun. The climb up the Lamego Sanctuary steps was made more mystical by the weather and for those considering it, it is much easier than anticipated and well worth it. Our small group of hardy travellers had a lot of fun as Francisco was both knowledgable and informative, but also very entertaining. High River, Canada

Seldom you meet people sending the message that loves what they are doing at work. Tiago is one of the few. Providing valuable information every moment, careing for each of his guests, good colleague to his mates, good control of the schedule, jokeing with spirit, driving responsibly.
