Jeg rejste alene, så jeg tog mig tid til at se udstillingerne så meget og så lidt, som jeg havde lyst til. Det foretrak jeg frem for at få fortalt en masse fakta og tal, som jeg ville have glemt, inden jeg var ude af døren. Jeg kunne godt lide at se nogle af værkerne i deres stadier af forfald for at minde mig om, hvor mange epoker og år de har eksisteret, for at hjælpe mig med at forstå, at stor kunst har været med os gennem tiden.
