Den kombinerede Parthenon- og museumsbillet er et rigtig godt valg. Den er meget praktisk, og vi fik adgang til seværdighederne uden at stå i kø. Jeg vil helt klart anbefale den. Museet er virkelig fantastisk og meget velorganiseret og giver en idé om storheden i de detaljer, som vi ikke kan se på selve Parthenon. De to besøg supplerer hinanden ekstremt godt.

Vi havde kun én dag til at besøge Akropolis, da vi havde en 24 timers mellemlanding. Billetterne til Akropolis og museet var en god kombination for os til at tilbringe dagen. Desværre var min ledsager ikke så godt gående, og elevatoren var ikke i orden for turister. Vi klarede trapperne langsomt til stor ærgrelse for de forskellige rejsegrupper, der besøgte stedet på samme tid som os. Hvad angår museet, var det rart at se nogle af de genstande, der blev returneret fra British Museum, og jeg håber, at Akropolis en dag kan bringes tilbage til den tilstand, der var, før de forskellige "besøgende" i det 19. århundrede forårsagede skader.

Jeg rejste alene, så jeg tog mig tid til at se udstillingerne så meget og så lidt, som jeg havde lyst til. Det foretrak jeg frem for at få fortalt en masse fakta og tal, som jeg ville have glemt, inden jeg var ude af døren. Jeg kunne godt lide at se nogle af værkerne i deres stadier af forfald for at minde mig om, hvor mange epoker og år de har eksisteret, for at hjælpe mig med at forstå, at stor kunst har været med os gennem tiden.

Som historieelsker var jeg i stand til at fordybe mig i, hvad Akropolis engang var. Jeg fik ikke audioguiden, men det burde jeg måske have gjort, for der er information overalt med billeder og fragmenter, som giver dig den store historiske oplevelse. Udsigten over byen er også fantastisk!

Akropolis i sig selv er spektakulært, det er et tusindårigt sted og utroligt! Audioguiden ville være meget nyttig til at lære og forstå, hvor du er, og hvad der er hvad, men det var godt billetterne uden kø og ingen problemer med at indløse dem. Turistbussen er god for folk, der dedikerer tid til det, vi havde ikke noget problem med at bruge det, men vi havde ikke tid, så næste gang vil jeg ikke købe det, fordi jeg ikke brugte det. For at forbedre placeringen af stoppestederne i Piræus og Glyfada, kunne vi aldrig finde dem.

Jeg elsker hele området. Men odeos, hvis jeg har ret i navnet, monumentet var følelsesladet. Forslag: Det ville være rart, hvis det blev nævnt i lydfilerne, hvordan bygningerne blev brugt.
