Everything was very quick and easy to book, the directions took us straight to the meeting place. Karen was the best tour guide We've ever had, she was really knowledgeable and informative about the tour but for us the best thing about her was her passion for the Vatican. You could really feel how much Karen loved being there and walking around it. The dome and rooftop tour was breahtaking! it really showed the enormity of the basilica. If we're lucky enough to visit Rome again I would ask for Karen herself to give us our tours, she even gave us recommendations on restaurants to eat at, which gelato shop was the best and even which cookery classes to take. Any questions we had she was always quick with a response and the restaurant she recommended was fantastic and very reasonably priced.

The guide smiled more than any Italian we interacted with! She was pure energy and knowledge. We knew the venue would be crowded, but we had no idea just how crowded it would be, so that was our biggest disappointment. There was no time to truly view anything.

A section of the museum is also dedicated to Modern Religious Art. Paintings and sculptures here come from artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, Salvador Dalí, and Pablo Picasso. Important Information

St. Peter's Basilica

In order to pay your respects, you must abide by the Basilica's dress code. Sleeveless blouses, miniskirts, shorts, and hats are not permitted. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women.
It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes as the tour involves a fair amount of walking.
Expect a considerable wait time as you queue for the security checks. It could take up to an hour during the peak season.

Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel

Photography is allowed, only without flash. Taking videos and photos for commercial purposes, or live broadcasting of a show is strictly prohibited.
Luggage and/or large bags are not allowed inside the venue. You may drop off your bags with the free cloakroom service.
Pets and other small animals are not allowed in the venue with the exception of guide dogs for differently-abled people.
