Visiting the ruins and city of Ostia Antica was one of the best days of our vacation. This is the kind of place that I would suggest people to explore.

It's an amazing site. Lovely gift shop and snack bar. However was very disappointed that the entire museum was closed. Couldn't a least a part of it be open?

Such a large expanse of buildings to wander around and a lot to see. Well described with regularly positioned information boards. Easily accessible from the centre of Rome and it was good to escape the crowds and traffic of the city. Good value attraction which includes a museum (sadly closed for renovations whilst we were there) plus cafe and shop.
