Set off on your tour of Portugal’s best, starting with a visit to Sintra, a city that is packed with charming cobblestone streets, beautiful castles and scenic views! Enter the Sintra National Palace that was once a favorite of the Portuguese monarchy. Admire the Swan Room, named so because of the swans painted on the ceiling. Travel back in time as you walk past ornate courtyards featuring Arabic style water pools. Your expert guide will tell you fascinating stories about the palace from its glory days.
From here, make your way to Cabo da Roca. Once known as the Rock of Lisbon, this wild and rugged headland that marks the coast is the westernmost point of Portugal and even Europe. Along the way, you will also pop by the “Mouth of Hell” or Boca do Inferno, a rocky cliff formation west of the Cascais. Your tour ends along the coast, overlooking the cosmopolitan town of Cascais and the gardens of the Estoril Casino.
