I got the time slot ticket for the first opening since I read somewhere it's better. But when I got there before it opens there is already a long line. When they start to let people in at my time. I asked the guard. The answer I got is that it's all the same line. So if you are going to get Lisboa card don't bother with the timed ticket... I do really enjoy the monastery. Such a beautiful place. When I got out the line is 3 times as long so.. i guess I didn't do that bad.

We had to go back twice because it was so crowded. We came back the next day much earlier. It's magnificent, but the visit is fairly quick. It may seem disproportionate if you wait too long.

Everything went smoothly w purchase and entry. The lines moved along at a good pace. Best of all the Monastery was a wonderful, monumental structure. We enjoyed it very much!

Loved the visit. Buying ticket in advance was a good idea. I wish there was more information available around the monastery

Jeronimos Monastery was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip to Lisbon/Belem. We visited the the Cloisters (not the Church, and the National Museum of Archaeology is currently closed for renovations). The Cloisters are absolutely stunning, we spent more time there than we thought we would. After touring the interior, we went accross the street to tour and rest in the gardens. We bought our tickets through the Monsatery's website (x2 for $39 CAD) and spent about 5 minutes in line, in October.

SL Benfica Stadium

Enter the magnificent SL Benfica Stadium, taking in a panoramic view from the stand. Visit the dressing room to know where legendary players prepared for a game. If you are curious to know what the first-ever dressing room at the stadium looked like put on your VR goggles and find out! Whether you wish to be a coach or a player sit before the lights in the press conference room and experience the thrill of it all. Walk down the Hall of Fame and see the people who made history at Benfica. Feel your heart beating faster as you walk out through the Tunnel and imagine the voices of thousands cheering for victory before you step out onto the pitch feeling the grass. Meet Gloria, Vitoria, and Luz – American Bald Eagles and mascots of the club.

Benfica Museum

The Benfica Museum built in honor of the stadium's legacy is a testament to the victories it has seen, proof of that is Eclectic Pride – a singular structure that displays trophies that the club has seen. Visit the accolades of players who left a mark at the Black Panther and other legends display. Experience European glory as you explore the European Champion Club’s Cups. Enjoy the feel of a match by kicking a virtual penalty at the museum or experiencing the excitement of a match day.

Jerónimos Monastery

A Portuguese national monument since 1907 and a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1983, the Jerónimos Monastery is one of the highest symbols of medieval Portuguese architecture. Historically and artistically connected to the Belém Tower, both these notable landmarks of Lisbon were built on the initiative of King Manuel I, who ruled between 1495 and 1521. In fact, the Belém Tower was built not only to protect the port of Lisbon but also for the Jerónimos Monastery.

Soak up the different elements that make up this stunning model of Manueline architectural style including Gothic, Moorish, and Renaissance styles. The two levels of cloisters are so intricate and filled with structural detail that they took a hundred years to be completed! Spot mythical creatures like gargoyles and marine animals within the carvings, columns, and arches. Don’t miss the vaulted ceilings on the lower level of the monastery or the views from the higher level of the adjacent Church of Santa Maria de Belem. Opt for a Lisbon Card that gives you access to sites like the Belém Tower, the National Costume Museum and the National Museum of the Azulejo, and more, with free transportation, for a hassle-free sightseeing experience.
