The visit was extraordinarily interesting and Max, the guide, was a great help. He was very friendly and interested in the people in the group. He gave very detailed information about the various aspects of the Colosseum. If I return for another guided tour, I would be delighted to have Max as my guide again.

Elena was the best tour guide for us in Spanish. She explained everything and told us interesting facts during the whole tour, she tried to make it enjoyable until the end even though it is a long and heavy tour if the weather is very sunny. Very pleasant experience.

The experience is beautiful but the guide was walking at a fast pace, not enough for the group, she didn't even tell us to go to the toilet when the tour was over! All in a good way but I think it is not right! At times she was in such a hurry, the group was so big that you lost sight of her among so many people and you stopped listening to the radio!

The tour was easy to book. Our tour was amazing, and our guide was passionate and knowledgeable about Rome. She kept us on schedule to ensure we had an opportunity to see everything that was promised. My only complaint was that it was difficult to find the tour, with so many groups meeting at the same location. Our instructions indicated that our guide would have a white flag with a company name printed on it. Our guide's flag was plain white, no print. We got there early and had time to find our guide in the crowd of people.

Tour guide was amazing and had so much knowledge of the sites. Only downside which is nothing bad about the guide was the heat. This is an outside tour and temps were already really hot in late May. Skip the line guided tour is a must as the normal lines are extremely long and tiresome in the Rome heat.

I found so many new things, the group was very interactive and informative. And whats more important everything on time, with long queues.

The tour guide made it amazing ... it was her and her efforts because we went on a tour of the Vatican and it wasn't nearly as good because of the guide.

Our tour guide was amazing! She was very informative and let us take as many pictures as we wanted. The biggest issue was the bike race (which we were alerted about in advance) caused a longer line to get into the Forum. Not a huge deal, just wish I had known to pack a water bottle! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our tour!

The best guided tour of my entire trip through Europe, walking through the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill and entering the arena of the Colosseum was like being transported to the time of the gladiators, of course the best was the guide Fabrizia, who despite being Roman spoke perfect Spanish, this lovely lady was an excellent guide, she knew how to keep us attentive during the tour and taught us many things, an open book!!! Totally pleased with the tour so I recommend it 100%!!!

Sylvia with Wander in Italy was just amazing. Very kind and patient and funny and passionate about the Colosseum and Ancient Roman history. She did not rush around, the pacing was perfect. I am quite tall and overweight and not the most fit person and I coped just fine, despite the heat. She she made sure we all knew we could take breaks to rest and use the loo and take photos. And encouraged us all to keep hydrated and top up our water bottles. I felt very comfortable with her and the whole group despite being on my own. She would make sure she looked at and spoke to everyone directly so keeping everyone engaged and making it personal even though we were a group of 24 I believe. She also has a folder showing images of how everything and everyone is believed to have looked back then which was great to help us visualise. I love that she waited for, and then went back for, a family who were running late so that they did not miss out. She is Italian so does have an accent but speaks perfect English and I understood clearly everything she was saying, and could hear fine through the earpiece. It was absolutely worth getting the tour. I think my favourite part was definitely the Roman Forum. We didnt really go up the Palatine Hill but it was so hot and so busy that day (Saturday) that I didn't mind. If we had gone we would have had less time in the Colosseum due to the queues. So it worked out for the best. I think if I went again I would not opt for the arena access as I don't think it is worth paying extra for. Even though the amount of people allowed in there is limited it is still very very crowded and the view is so much better from the higher levels anyway. But it was good to sit down for 5 minutes and learn lots of interesting things from Sylvia about the arena area. I also would not opt for the underground as I think it looks more impressive from above, but I didn't go down there so I can't say for certain. And as others have said it is not exactly skip the queue as there are queues to get into the Forum and Colosseum security lines regardless of if you are in a group or have skip the line tickets. The queues move fairly quick but we still had about a roughly 30 minute wait to get to security into the Colosseum (around 10:30am) but luckily as we had Sylvia she kept us entertained with stories and facts so it didn't feel too long. There wasn't much of a wait into the Forum as we went in around 9am so it was still fairly quiet. Security is very tight, they check your tickets about 5 or 6 times. Make sure you bring your ID or you are not getting in! I would also strongly recommend wearing sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a water bottle and the comfiest trainers and clothes that you own! Great experience, my favourite in Rome so far. I wish I had had the money to give Sylvia for a tip as she was really brilliant, even giving us a list of food recommendations at the end of the tour. Whatever she is paid, double it! I highly recommend this guided tour with Sylvia. Thank you Sylvia for a great morning 😊

The guide was excellent and very friendly, he knew a lot about the place. He always told us something about any place we went to, he went calmly to each place without hurry but at a good pace.
