We had a wonderful time at the waitomo cave zip line park - we were well looked after by our wonderful instructors who made our day fun, exciting & safe. Explaining to our mixed ability group so that everyone felt comfortable & able to take part & really enjoy the adventure - happy to recommend this & plan to return with family.

The teaching on the small runs and building up to the fast ones was perfect. I really loved the speed of the lines. Well worth it and one of my favorite activities so far in New Zealand.

your experience

Enjoy a zipline experience unlike any other at Waitomo caves. Before you start off your zipline adventure, learn about the basics of operating it from experienced guides. Then, off you go! Start at a lower level to get some practice in controlling your speed and using the gear. Work your way through zip lines that are higher and higher, before making your way to the final one that is 280 meters long and the fastest of the lot. On the 280m long zipline, you will reach speeds up to 80 km/hr!

know before you go

Important Information

Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before your scheduled time.
The maximum weight allowed on the zipline is 120 kilograms.
The minimum age of a child attending with a family is 8 years old, and young children will need an adult to actively help.
Under 18s require at least one participating adult with the group.

Daily at 9am, 11:30am, 2pm, and 4:30pm
