The glacier paradise excursion was amazing. The cable car takes you very high up. Along the way we stopped at Trockener steg and did the beautiful hike to the river. From here you can get amazing pictures of the Matterhorn mirrored in the lake. From the hike, you can see the Matterhorn very up close. Then we went further up to the glacier paradise stop where they have a ice palace with stunning ice sculptures and of course the panoramic view from the top. The tickets were easy to use in terms or getting on and off the cable car. This excursion is worth it. I did not however do the Gorgergrot excursion so I can't compare in terms of which is better.
