Why Watch Feeder Live
With over 5 million sales across the world, Feeder is one of the top bands to come out of Britain. They have released over 10 albums, and more than 40 singles, and have consistently had hits at the charts over the years. Between 1997 and 2012, they have had 25 of the top 75 singles. Feeder has headlined several of the top UK venues, such as the Birmingham LG Arena, Wembley Arena, and the Cardiff International Arena.
A testament to their skill and ability is the fact that Feeder has spent a total of 182 weeks combined on the singles and album charts. As a band that has continued to entertain and engages audiences for more than 20 years, Feeder is one of the very few that can claim to have fans both young and old, regardless of the age gap between the two. The ever-evolving music transcends the boundaries of genre and is perhaps the reason for attracting crowds of such a varied demographic.
As you listen to the repertoire of songs, you will be reminded of the incredibly varied and rich portfolio of Feeder. Although people across all groups can be found here, a majority of them include those in their late 20s and early 30s. You will be taken on a nostalgic trip back to some of the best pop tunes of the band from the early 2000s. Songs such as “Insomnia” and are a trip down the memory lane for most of the crowd and also a reminder of the pop-punk era. “Buck Rogers,” perhaps the best-known track of Feeder, is given a new slowed down intro, and predictably, the crowd goes wild instantly. You will find yourself jumping around with the frenzied crowd as you listen to the lively “Insomnia” and transfixed in silent appreciation when an acoustic version of “Silent Cry” is played. Grant Nicholas, the lead singer and guitarist, promises to take you back to the nineties, much before the internet and Facebook. True to his words, you feel like a teenager again as you listen to some of the pop-rock tunes and immerse yourself into the atmosphere buzzing with euphoria. You will find yourself clapping, singing and waving as Nicholas requests you in the most friendly demeanor from the stage. Although the show is just around 90 minutes, there is no doubt you will feel a decade younger.
Lovers of 90s Indie-Rock and Pop | Admirers of Feeder | Fans of Rock Music
“More than a nostalgic look back on some of the band’s best indie-pop tunes, the show’s energy was a testament to their talent and ability to grow.”
“I could write a whole lot more about this gig – and it’ll be one I don’t forget for a very, very, long time – but I’ll sign off with one last thing: 21 years of Feeder have passed but they certainly aren’t past-it, yet. Here’s to many more”
