Why Watch The Baltic Sea Orchestra
It is rare to come across an orchestra that is dedicated to a cause and uses its music to inspire its audience. The Baltic Sea Orchestra, led by the eminent music director Kristjan Jarvi, is passionate about solving environmental issues and bringing people from different countries together. The orchestra itself features musicians from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, and six other European countries. With the courage to explore new ways to present classical music, the Baltic Sea Orchestra has earned wide acclaim for its numerous projects like ‘Into the Music’. Their most recent masterpiece ‘Waterworks’ is set to be presented at the Dubai Opera.
Waterworks is an elaborate symphony of sound and light that celebrates the healing and uniting energy of water. The lighting and digital projections are specially designed to flow with the music. Water plays a deeply philosophical, melodic, and emotional role in the performance. From the waters of the Amazon in South America to the soft springs of the north, the music and the lighting effects are woven together intricately to create a magical effect on the audience. The show is certain to be energising, liberating, and deeply inspiring; a brilliant and unforgettable experience.
