Pop Punk High is a unique musical experience tells the story of Derek, who thinks that his life sucks until he meets the ghost of his pop punk icon who helps him defeat his arch nemesis and win the girl of his dreams.

Why Watch Pop Punk High

Pop Punk High is a parody and celebration of all things early 2000s, with the aesthetic and ethos that defined a whole generation with an undeniably catchy pop-punk musical theme! A nostalgic journey for those who grew up listening to American pop punk from the early 2000s, this hilarious coming-of-age story tells the universal tale of growing up, falling in love and standing up to the ones who put you down, all the while set to a killer soundtrack.

The Story

The year is 2003. Derek's life sucks - his parents don't understand him, and he's the biggest loser in school. Moreover, Amanda Buckface, the girl of his dreams, doesn't even know he exists. But things change drastically when he discovers the ghost/genie of Avril Lavigne (who was murdered and replaced by a double), who grants Derek the three wishes to defeat Skeet, his arch nemesis, and win Amanda's heart. However, Derek begins to realise that he might be losing his pop punk identity in the process, and that what you think makes you pop punk, may not actually be pop punk after all. Does Derek stay true to himself in spite of all his wins? More importantly, does he stay true to pop punk at the end of it all?
