Why Watch Knights of the Rose
Knights of the Rose features some of the greatest rock stars of our era, such as Bonnie Tyler, Black Sabbath, Bon Jovi, and Meat Loaf, amongst others! The musical is woven from a tapestry of rich literature, and combined with the high-energy music, it makes for an incredible experience. Directed by Racky Plews of American Idiot fame, the musical has been executed in an exemplary manner. The music serves as a surprisingly excellent score for the medieval setting, making the show seem like a combination of School of Rock and Game of Thrones. On first thought, it seems that this alliance wouldn't work well, but the popularity and acclaim of Knights of the Rose says otherwise. Jennifer Marsden attempts to bring back the Arthurian chivalry, although in a unique form, and is wildly successful in her attempt. For lovers of rock and classical rock, this is guaranteed to be an unforgettable evening.
The chivalrous knights return home from a glorious triumph, ready to celebrate and be honoured by their House. Unfortunately, the kingdom is in turmoil, and a more significant, albeit hidden, danger threatens to destroy everything that the Knights hold dear. They face perhaps the greatest battle of age, one that will tear apart the fraternity. Sir Palamon comes up with a plan to rid himself of rival Sir Hugo, and marry Princess Hannah himself. When they are caught up in another battle, he sees the perfect opportunity to do away with Hugo, but will his conscience still let him do it after all they have been through? Will betrayal and bloodshed take over, and lead to the downfall of the honourable Knights of the Rose?
